Red Rice is a variety of rice from the red pericarp, obtained in Italy by crossing Black rice and a stretched grain rice, deliberately created through natural techniques. It is grown exclusively in the province of Vercelli and Pavia. As for blacks, red rices anthocyanin are contained in the outer part of the brown speck. Red Rice is also gluten-free and is a whole rice, so rich in fiber, vitamins, minerals and proteins.
It is a delicate aroma rice, and it is a healthy and nutritious food, perfect to be enjoyed with extra virgin olive oil, but also in salads with raw and cooked vegetables.
