"Varco 41" Cooked Wine - Lorese

The name "Varco 41" refers to the location where this unique product is created.
The "Varco 41" Vino Cotto is made by slowly boiling the must in copper kettles until it is reduced by 30% to 50%, then left to rest for no less than 12-14 years in wooden barrels over 40 years old, before being bottled for tasting.
This product pairs very well with sweets, particularly dry pastries.
It is a wine for meditation, perfect when paired with dark chocolate and cigars.
TASTING NOTES:
On the nose, it is intoxicating with hints of honey, dried fruits, caramel, with a salty and balsamic note. On the palate, it is concentrated, deep, and of great intensity, with hints of orange peel, and a very persistent finish.
AGING PROCESS:
Aged in barrels for a minimum of 12 years, up to 30 years, with periodic topping up.
SERVING TEMPERATURE:
Serve at room temperature.
