Capoccia Bio has its roots in the early 1900s, when Cesare Capoccia moved to Morano Osteria, a hamlet of Gualdo Tadino, to passionately cultivate the fertile Umbrian land. Since then, the company has grown alongside the family, passing from generation to generation while keeping the agricultural tradition of the region alive.

Today, the company has embraced organic farming, recovering ancient local crops that represent a valuable heritage. Capoccia Bio follows a complete and integrated production cycle.

Organic Roveja flour, stone-ground using a slow-rotation process, is obtained from organic Roveja cultivated among the green Umbrian hills. Also known as field pea or robiglio, Roveja is a variety of pea that is high in protein and low in fat.

This ancient legume, dating back to the Neolithic era, is cultivated almost exclusively by a few farms located in the Umbrian-Marche Apennine region, keeping a precious and sustainable agricultural tradition alive.

Although the process takes more time, Capoccia Bio dedicates the necessary time to produce high-quality products, just like all good things made with love. The organic supply chain of Capoccia Bio unfolds among the green hills of the Umbrian Apennines and is entirely internal, ensuring full quality control at every stage of production, from sowing to harvesting, from milling to packaging.

This guarantees adherence to the traditional values of organic farming: no chemical treatments, enhancers, or preservatives, a respect for the land, and the safety and authenticity of the foods produced.
